Fire and Rescue Station
Project Details
This project involved the design of the structural framing for the ACT ceiling grid system at a Fire and Rescue Station in Seattle, WA. Our design emphasized ensuring the system’s rigidity and stability, incorporating Cross T-runners, Main T-runners, Stabilizer Strut Bars, Diagonal Hanger Wires, and Compression Struts. The system was carefully engineered to withstand lateral forces from seismic activity, fully complying with the stringent local building code requirements.
Role
Structural Engineer/Designer
Services Provided
Comprehensive structural calculations for all ceiling framing and lateral bracing components. We provided detailed acoustic ceiling tile shop drawings and a precise takeoff, featuring a Ceiling Framing Plan, framing details, and specifications to ensure robust support and acoustic performance. The ceiling framing takeoff provided accurate material requirements, facilitating efficient planning and installation.
