Project Details
This 4-story apartment building with a mezzanine combines the best of wood frame, steel frame, and masonry construction for a modern, resilient design. Structural elements include wood shear walls, HFX by Hardy Frame, Glulam beams, and Microllam floor joists, all securely supported by a mat foundation, pad footings, wall footings, and masonry retaining walls. Steel frames provide essential support for expansive floor spans and cantilevered decks, delivering both strength and architectural sophistication.

Comprehensive structural calculations encompassing loading analyses (wind, seismic, dead, and live loads) and detailed structural analysis and design for all key components, such as foundations, retaining walls, columns, beams, shear walls, floor joists, rafters, and connections. The structural drawings provided a complete set with a foundation plan, floor framing plans, roof framing plan, shear wall layout, retaining wall section details, and all essential structural details, notes, and specifications.
